Vintage is included on this blog because it has become a passion of Kenny’s and mine. Since our children have grown up, “junking” is what we do for fun.
We enjoy it so much that we planned a retirement business around it although I am not retired…yet. We have spent so much time together planning our business and gathering timeworn items that we feel we have a lot to share on the topic.
It is also nice to spend time with like minded folks even if it is on the internet. Vintage has led us to friendships that we would not have developed without this common interest.
As our business has grown, we have also come to appreciate the category for another reason. It is such an affordable way to furnish and decorate a home. We love that we can be a part of finding these treasures for our customers.
Last, many pieces were handmade which makes them art in my eyes. Most things today do not have that kind of craftsmanship. It is nice to pass on a love for vintage pieces to the younger generation.
