Tea in the Garden

Nature is so much a part of me. I grew up spending so much time outdoors just playing.
My friend and I were so imaginative. We used mimosa tree blooms with streams of water and mud to “cook.” My cousins and I played hide and seek games in the dark. We rode bicycles and waded the creek. We caught lightning bugs and crawdads.
My parents and grandparents gardened. I grew up on fresh vegetables that I helped plant and harvest. We sat in the shade of the porch and cleaned beans or peeled peaches.
I hiked through the forest with my family. I couldn’t count the times we had a picnic or built a campfire. We spent so much time together in the fresh air.
I now absolutely need to feel the sunshine or the rain. I love to walk and gather. I bring outside things indoors to last me through the rain or the snow. I want to share the peace and wonder that nature provides.
